Will cocoa er still fade my scars and stretchmarks even though I'm allergic to it?

I have black knees and scars on my legs and everyone who uses palmer's cocoa er products says that they work wonders. When I tried it, I got little bumps and an itch so I stopped using it. Now I'm desperate for smooth skin because nothing else seems to be working. I can put up with the allergic reactions if it fades my blemishes.
