Swollen Lymph Node, Multiple Infections?
As long as you are ill, you are going to have swollen lymph nodes. They are doing their job - gobbling up germs and when they do this, they swell up and don't go back down until you are well. Sometimes, it is possible to catch lots of things in a short period of time - your immune system never gets quite back up to par and in a depressed condition, you catch something else. This may be hard for you to do but starting an exercise program is one of the best ways to build your immunity and walking is easiest. With exercise, your body produces more immune fighters than with no activity (lying around). You might consider a complete physical with an internal medicine physician and point out the swollen lymph node and how long it has been present. Then, if any follow-up is needed, stay with one doctor who can manage all illnesses. An internal med doctor could do this for you. There is no way of knowing if you have an underlying immune problem or if you are "just having an off year". Do your part with healthy meals, start and exercise program and let the doctor do the rest.
