Tony Dungy - great coach, or overrated?

Craig, I live in Indy and love the guy like everyone else here does. Great human. That said, I agree 100% with your own essment. I think he actually overachieved in Tampa but he did build one very good team there. Success has followed our GM everywhere he's been. When I think of great coachs, I ask myself if another one could've done the job with the same team. I'd say quite a few coachs would've done well with this Colts team, perhaps winning more than one Super Bowl. With the Colts firepower I believe several others would've been able to pile up the points, regardless of our special teams and defense. Our defense improved drastically as he got players for his system but as I said, Bill Pollium (sp?) is very heavy handed behind the scenes. I'm sure we've all heard by now that having Peyton Manning is like a coach on the feild so he's also going to make any coach look better. Ever see those rare times when he's not in the game? It's an entirely different team, struggling to even function on offense. I wish Coach Dungy nothing but the best.
